The House on Tuesday killed a Democratic resolution aimed at disapproving comments from Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) that Joseph Goebbels would be "proud of the Democrat Party because they have an incredible propaganda machine."A press release on Rep. Edwards' website provided some information on the effort:
West's quote from this week prompted Democrats to put forward a resolution that outlines Goebbels's role as Reich minister of propaganda in Hitler's Germany for more than a decade, and says comparisons using Goebbels are inappropriate.
