Gov. O'Malley speaks at Equality Maryland's 9/7/11 event |
Maryland Juice captured video footage of all the speakers, including Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown and Attorney General Doug Gansler. We provide head-to-head footage of the gubernatorial candidates below, along with a photo gallery and the full roster of videos at the end of this post.
The videos are interesting to watch not just to hear the two men's musings on marriage equality, but also simply to compare their different speaking styles (at this early stage in the race). I had the opportunity to see Doug Duncan and Martin O'Malley speak back-to-back at a Democratic conference in 2004 -- two year's before their near-showdown in the 2006 gubernatorial primary -- and I found the experience fairly informative. I should note, however, that Gov. O'Malley is a significantly more polished and natural speaker today than when he was Baltimore mayor in 2004. With that note, here are Mr. Gansler and Mr. Brown's speeches:

Other speakers' videos you can watch are:
- Governor Martin O'Malley
- Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett
- Maryland Senator Rich Madaleno
- Maryland Delegate Heather Mizeur
- Kensington Mayor Pete Fosselman
- Chevy Chase Mayor David Lublin
SPECIAL THANKS to Cristina Sinclaire, a fellow campaign op, who took the vast majority of the photos in Maryland Juice's Equality Maryland photo gallery.
