MoCo Councilmember Phil Andrews Launches Website for 2014 County Executive // Candidates Eye Open District 3 Seat in 2014

So I guess Montgomery County Councilmember Phil Andrews is moving forward with a run for County Executive in 2014.... At least, that's what the new website at PhilAndrews.com is telling me:

Right now he is the only one of the candidates with a website actually naming the office of County Executive. But it is still a tad early, and so we expect other candidates to roll out their online personas soon enough.

CANDIDATES BEGIN IMAGINING CAMPAIGNS FOR PHIL ANDREWS' COUNCIL SEAT - Maryland Juice is aware of a few possible candidates for Phil Andrews' County Council seat. Notably, the District 3 seat encompasses terrain that includes municipal officials in Rockville and Gaithersburg. In MoCo's past, city officials have periodically attempted to make the leap to County office. We will soon report on the emerging field to replace Phil Andrews at the County Council. In the meantime, you can check out a map of the district below. MoCo describes District 3 as follows:
"Located in central Montgomery County, District 3 includes Gaithersburg, Rockville, Washington Grove, Leisure World, and parts of Aspen Hill, Derwood, North Potomac and Potomac.  District 3 is home to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Rock Creek Regional Park, part of Seneca Creek State Park, and the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center (including Shady Grove Adventist Hospital). Bisected by I-270 and Route 355, District 3 is served by several MARC commuter rail and Metrorail stations, including the Shady Grove Metro station."
