Gov. Martin O'Malley Kicks Off Maryland Marriage Equality Web Series

Today, Marylanders for Marriage Equality kicked off a video campaign with a 45-second web spot featuring Governor Martin O'Malley. The organization represents a coalition of groups, including the Baltimore NAACP, Progressive Maryland, the ACLU, and labor unions. The public relations push comes ahead of a major 2012 effort to pass marriage equality legislation. Advocates were only a few votes shy in the House of Delegates last year, and many have high hopes for passage next year.

Just for the fun of it, I'm also posting the Google "It Gets Better" spot below. I think it is one of the better examples of indirect corporate propaganda. Remember that it is an ad for Google services; not a PSA.
