Obama in Surprisingly Good Shape?

A politically connected observer sent me some interesting new polling numbers showing that concern over Obama's re-election chances might be misplaced. A new Clarus poll roundup has Obama ahead in North Carolina and Colorado, beating all Republican challengers.

NORTH CAROLINA: 2012 TRIAL HEATS*
  • Obama over Romney +5
  • Obama over Perry +8
  • Obama over Bachmann +10
  • Obama over Cain +13
  • Obama over Palin +13

COLORADO: 2012 TRIAL HEATS**
  • Obama over Romney +7
  • Obama over Bachmann +12
  • Obama over Perry +13
  • Obama over Cain +16
  • Obama over Palin +16
