Maryland Conservatives Fight Back Against Maryland Juice (aka an "Anti-Citizen" Blog)

It seems members of the Maryland GOP and rightwing blogosphere are not pleased with Maryland Juice's campaign to highlight problems within the Maryland Republican Party and its base. In the last few weeks, we've highlighted anti-Muslim/LGBT/Latino bias at the Maryland Conservative Action Network, GOP lawmaker Pat McDonough's inflammatory lawnsign about immigrants, the CecilCalvert.com "map" showing the ties between various Maryland politicians (ie: Tom Perez and Jamie Raskin) and Muslim Terrorists, and more. Read all the articles tagged "extremism" at Maryland Juice.

Today, the CecilCalvert.com blog is pushing back against this information activism. In a new post headlined "Help Save Maryland – Illegal Immigration Issue Red Hot Across The Nation!," the site operators include the following note:
PLEASE ATTEND THE UPCOMING MARYLAND DREAM ACT FORUM.  SUPPORT DELEGATE PAT MCDONOUGH IN THE DEBATE AGAINST PJ HOGAN, WHO IS REPRESENTING THE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM OF MARYLAND AND ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT STUDENTS!

AN ANTI-CITIZEN BLOG CALLED “MARYLAND JUICE” IS CALLING OUT FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS AND THEIR SUPPORTERS TO ATTEND THE EVENT.  LET’S MAKE SURE WE OUTNUMBER THE ILLEGALS THAT WILL BE BUSED IN.

I'm glad to see that we are forcing the extremists to address some pretty unsavory behavior coming from their side, though I'm still waiting for the condemnations from leaders on the right. Or they can keep trying to win elections this way. That seems to be their strategy, based on their continued defense of these tactics:

First, Twitter lit up with pushback:

Then, this morning, a rightwing activist decided to place their propaganda on numerous parts of Maryland Juice's Facebook page:

The good thing for Democrats and progressives is that if things stay the same, with the population shifts in Maryland, it seems like the GOP is content to make themselves a regional party. They can never win in Montgomery, Prince George's & Baltimore with this nasty goal of a homogeneous political culture -- and that means it would take a miracle for them to win anything Statewide.
